The kitchen is, by far, the most important space in the house!
A place where your family gathers to cook, eat, share conversation. Maybe you use island seating to plan your day or as a homework space for the kids. It’s important to have a kitchen that not only reflects your personality and taste, but one that offers true convenience and comfort and is a real sanctuary. Whether you’re just looking for a change in your cabinets or countertops or a full kitchen overhaul, the Spectrum Remodeling team can help turn your kitchen dreams into a reality.
Are you looking to expand your entertainment space?
Why not let Spectrum Remodeling not only help you turn those dreams into reality.  Basements often have a lack of natural light that can be fixed by installing recessed lighting throughout the space. Whether your family plans to use the basement as an entertainment space, office, playroom, gym, or even movie theater, you’ll be surprised at how you reap the benefits of unused space that already exists in your home. Contact for Basement Renovations!
When you consider the many ways that you could potentially add space around your house, there is no other method that comes close to matching adding a home addition. When you add an addition, you’re creating a space that is uniquely yours. When built properly, your home addition blends into and becomes part of the house itself. So whether you’re adding on a great room, guest bedroom, bathroom, family room or leisure space, the Spectrum Remodeling team will be up front with you about everything in the addition process.
Personalized In-Law Suites & Additions
Allow Spectrum Group to help navigate the process:
Family Consultation
Moving aging parents is a change in lifestyle for everyone involved. Communication with all members of the family is key. How will this type of change affect everyone individually? Is the family in agreement, financially, to take this step forward? Spectrum Group brings crucial lifelong experience to the table to help your family talk out everyone’s expectations, from financials, selling your existing home, remodeling your home, or remodeling with a projected timeline.
Understanding Family Needs
Is your In-Law Suite going to include just sleeping quarters and a bathroom, or will it include a separate sitting area and a kitchen? How much space are you looking for, overall? Will your loved one be downsizing? These are all questions to take into consideration when planning for a move – as well as determining if this lifestyle change is imminent, or if it will be happening in a more distant future.
Considering Your Return on Investment
The national average cost for live-in care at a skilled nursing or assisted living facility continues to grow year by year, with current costs averaging over $9,000 per month / per room! While the addition of an In-Law Suite is a significant investment, it will also likely be a wise one. A home remodel or addition makes your home an attractive option for a potential future sale, particularly because the local real estate market is lacking in options with additions already included.
Home Remodeling and Floor Plan Design
A well-designed universally accessible remodel can not only enable older adults to remain in their homes longer, but it can also increase the value and appeal of the home, as well. In fact, visitors to a home with a Universal Design bathroom may not notice anything out of the ordinary – except that the bathroom is attractive, convenient and comfortable.
Spectrum Assisted Living delivers 40+ years of Home Building and Remodeling Experience! Our top priority is recognizing accessibility and versatility. Design your next remodeling project or addition with one of our in-house designers and selection coordinators. Contact one of our Certified Aging in Place Specialists today to get started!

Cosmetic Upgrade, Remodel or Renovate?
What’s the difference? Well, there actually is a difference. We have outlined it below for you.
As the value of real estate has increased dramatically in the Lehigh Valley recently, now may be the time to utilize the equity built up in your home. You can upgrade your living space with a simple remodel, a complete space renovation or an addition! Call for a free consultation!
Cosmetic Upgrade
Cosmetic upgrades are making changes to an existing space that are only cosmetic. Typically these changes are less time consuming and less of a financial commitment. A cosmetic upgrade could involve painting cabinets, changing faucets, and fixtures, upgrading lighting, and painting the walls. This option is quicker time wise than remodeling or renovating because there are no permits or inspections necessary. For example, a bathroom cosmetic upgrade usually takes 2 to 3 weeks depending on supplies being readily available. Â
Renovating
Renovating is improving an existing space. There is no moving of walls, or utilities including plumbing or electrical. Typically, remodeling will involve replacing existing tile, installing a new vanity, replacing flooring, toilet, fixtures, cabinets, appliances, etc.  To finish the new space a coat of paint is applied to tie it all together. Remodeling a space is quicker time wise than renovating because there are no permits or inspections necessary. For example, a bathroom remodel usually takes 3 to 4 weeks depending on supplies being readily available. Â
Remodeling
Remodeling is an extensive complete improvement is an existing space. A Project Manager will be assigned to your project and they will be responsible for coordinating all the trades involved as well as inspections. Permits and inspections are involved in a renovation. Below are some of the trades that are usually involved with a renovation:
- Carpenter
- Demolition
- Electrician
- Insulation
- Mechanical HVAC
- Sheetrock installers & finishers
- Tile installers
- Painters
- Glass/shower door/countertop installers
Spectrum Homes and Remodeling is aware of the inconvenience remodeling can have on your everyday life. The degree of your remodeling project, renovation or addition can expand the timeline beyond what you see on our website. We will always ensure that communication lines between us and you are open and that you are aware of any changes that may happen.
